The main office of McNair Building Construction, Inc. at 1533 Fording Island Road is closed and has been mobilized. We are virtually “Open for Business” and able to meet one-on-one on a limited basis until further notice.

It is thought that the transmission of the Corona
Virus to people was first from animals in China, now it transmits people to people:

Between people who are in close contact with one
another (within about 6 feet).
·
Through respiratory droplets produced when an
infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths, noses
or eyes of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

It may be possible that a person can get
COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has SARS-CoV-2 on it and then
touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought
to be the primary way the virus spreads.
People are thought to be most contagious when they are most
symptomatic (i.e., experiencing fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath). Some
spread might be possible before people show symptoms; there have been reports
of this type of asymptomatic transmission with this new corona virus, but this
is also not thought to be the main way the virus spreads. Stay informed through the SCDHEC for any required changes or further current announcements.
Improve the work Environment at McNair Building
Construction, Inc.:
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water, or with hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
- Stay at home if you feel sick and electronically report to office (text,phone,email,etc.)
- Cover your cough and sneezes properly
- Distance yourself from other workers if possible, minimum of 6 feet, or help coordinate your work to different projects or locations on the project site as to provide more distance to others. If Socializing, provide a minimum of 6 feet. Check with us prior to traveling to a project so as to help us minimize interactions with others,
· When visiting the “porta potty” wash your hands as noted above
· If you feel you should protect yourself further, wear appropriate respirators, N95 masks, gloves, or other PPE. We encourage the use of any OSHA approved PPE.
· Work from your office remotely when possible.
· Make sure MCNAIR has scheduled your work for a specific Day and TIME before you go to our project
